DinnerNow.net (Source Code DinnerNow.net)







A fictitious marketplace where customers can order food from local restaurants for delivery to their home or office. This sample application is designed to demonstrate how you can develop a connected application using several new Microsoft technologies, including: IIS7, ASP.NET Ajax Extensions, Linq, Windows Communication Foundation, Windows Workflow Foundation, Windows Presentation Foundation, Windows Powershell, and the .NET Compact Framework.

The DinnerNow.net 2.5 release is an updated version of the DinnerNow application that is compatible with final release of Visual Studio 2008 and the .NET Framework 3.5. This version has been re-architected to simplify the code base and take advantage of new features provided by the .NET Framework 3.5 including:

- LINQ to SQL
- WF/WCF integration
- IIS7 & Windows Activation Services (WAS) hosting for WCF services
- WCF 3.5 Syndication Services
- WCF on the .NET Compact Framework 3.5
